Public lighting in the Czech Republic is governed by the CSN EN 13201 standard, which defines lighting classes according to road type. Class ME applies to main roads, class CE to side streets, and class S/P to sidewalks. Each class has specific requirements for average illuminance, uniformity, and glare. Our LED luminaires are designed to meet all these standards while minimizing energy consumption.
The optimal pole spacing depends on the pole height, luminaire type, and required lighting class. At a height of 8 m, the typical spacing is 25-35 m; at 10 m height, it is 30-40 m. Thanks to our efficient optics, greater spacings can be achieved while maintaining standards - up to 4 times the pole height. This means significant savings on installation and infrastructure. We create precise designs using photometric calculations.
Intelligent control enables remote management of each luminaire individually. The system automatically dims during nighttime hours according to a pre-set profile and responds to motion or traffic intensity. You can monitor energy consumption, fault conditions, and luminaire lifespan in real time. Energy savings reach 30-70% compared to uncontrolled lighting, with a typical return on investment of 3-5 years.
Our LED luminaires for public lighting have a lifespan of L90B10 > 100,000 hours, which at a typical operation of 4,000 hours per year means more than 25 years. After this period, the luminaires retain at least 90% of their original luminous flux. We provide a standard 5-year warranty with the option to extend up to 20 years. All luminaires have IP66 protection and IK09 impact resistance for maximum weather durability.
Replacing sodium discharge lamps with LED results in energy savings of 50-70%. A 150 W sodium lamp can be replaced by a 50-60 W LED luminaire while maintaining the same illumination level. In addition, the costs of frequent lamp replacements are eliminated (sodium lamps have a lifespan of 4-6 years). When factoring in maintenance savings and intelligent control, the total cost reduction can reach up to 80%.
