For production halls, we recommend high-bay LED luminaires with an output of 100-300 W depending on ceiling height. For heights of 6-8 m, 100-150 W luminaires are suitable; for 8-12 m, 150-200 W; and above 12 m, 200-300 W. Correct optics for uniform illumination of the work surface is essential. Illuminance should be 300-500 lx for standard production, 500-750 lx for precision work, and up to 1,000 lx for quality control.
For warehouses with tall shelving, we use special asymmetric optics that direct light into the aisles between racks. LED luminaires are placed above the aisles, not above the racks. We combine general hall lighting (150-200 lx) with local aisle lighting (200-300 lx). To save energy, we install motion sensors that illuminate individual aisles as needed, achieving savings of up to 80%.
The IP rating depends on the environment: IP20 is sufficient for dry warehouses, IP44 for standard production halls, IP54 for dusty spaces, IP65 for wet operations, and IP66 for outdoor industrial areas. In the food and chemical industries, we require IP66/IP69K with resistance to high-pressure washing. All our industrial luminaires also have IK08-IK10 mechanical impact resistance.
For areas with explosion risk (ATEX zones), we supply certified Ex luminaires according to Zone 1, 2, 21, or 22. The luminaires have a special design that prevents sparking and overheating. In chemical operations, we use luminaires resistant to corrosive substances with housings made of stainless steel or special plastics. Emergency lighting must have an independent power supply with a battery source for at least 1-3 hours of operation.
The return on investment for LED lighting in industry is typically 2-4 years. With continuous operation (24/7), the payback period can be less than 2 years. Energy savings compared to metal halide lamps are 50-60%, and compared to sodium lamps 60-70%. Add to that maintenance savings - LED luminaires do not require lamp replacement for 50,000-100,000 hours of operation.
